Description: Polygon data showing the extents of Assessor Parcels within Santa Cruz County, California. Assessors's parcels are identified and enumerated by the County Assessor for taxation purposes. The parcel boundary is drawn from legal descriptions and maps that are recorded with the County Recorder. In urban areas of Santa Cruz, Watsonville, Capitola and Scotts Valley, Parcel boundaries are generally accurate to within five feet of their true geographic coordinates. In the rural areas, the data may be accurate to three hundred feet or more. Assessor Parcel data is maintained by the Santa Cruz County Assessor's Office. Updates are published approximately quarterly (every 3 or 4 months).
